Trompe-l’oeil   Christopher Cole

Christopher Cole is a highly successful artist with over 40 years of professional experience.  His Classical training included a thorough grounding in the techniques of the Flemish & Italian artists of the Renaissance.  He has an international following with paintings in collections in England, throughout Europe as well as in Australia, the USA, South Africa & Japan.  Christopher will be demonstrating how to use Trompe-l’oeil techniques to create visual illusions.

Trompe-l’œil is an artistic term for the highly realistic optical illusion of three-dimensional space and objects on a two-dimensional surface. Trompe l’oeil, which is most often associated with painting, tricks the viewer into perceiving painted objects or spaces as real.
